Monsieur KONÉ Ibrahim, DG du Conseil Café-Cacao explique sa vision pour ce secteur
As part of the Good Council Governance Café -Cocoa, the RHDP youth had met this Wednesday 03 Mai 2023 the General Manager of the Café Council -Cacao at the headquarters of the said political party sise at the Two Vallon Plateaux.
Above all things, Mr OUATTARA Yvan, initiator of this meeting has of prime first thank the General Director of the Council Café – Cacao for this brilliant opportunity he grants them in order to promote the Government policy regarding the Café Sector -Cacao but also he addressed him his vives congratulations for the work shot down since his function take at the head of this sector which is the locomotive of the economy of the Ivory Coast.
When to Monsieur KONÉ Ibrahim, Directeur Général du Conseil Café – Cacao, he explained that the Cacao arrived in Côte d’Ivoire in the 1842’s, and it is from 1900 that the Ivory Coast began to plant the cocoa timidly, in 1904 the Ivory Coast made six tons and given its importance, the colonizer produced it as well as an Ivory Coast.
According to Mr KONÉ Ibrahim, today several strategies are put in place for the improvement of the conditions of the planters namely the census of the producers since 2019, the establishment of the statements of all the plantations, the production of the cards to the planters, the confection of a planter chip which will allow it to be paid via an ATM after the sale of its product by next October, the construction of the Ivory Coast’s processing plants of the Ivorian
Note that good number of Cacao planters were desperate by the purchase price but henceforth those-can rejoice not only for their gain but also for the credibility granted by the Government to this business sector.
